Can’t see him progressing any further in this tournament , imo
he’s been card happy from the first whistle , no man management
or dialogue with players

I think his first half performance was very much on a par with
England. His first 20 mins was the worst refereeing performance
ive seen since watching steven martin last season .

Have to say on Law5 most agree his performance has been
excellent so far and I’d agree with that assessment. I
personally can’t argue with many of the calls he has made, yes
he has been strict but I don’t like this exercise of judging
referees by number of cards and fouls they give.
To be frank, I do find on here a strong correlation with how
well England play and how the referees performance is assessed.
Many on here complain about club bias during the season - I’d
argue this is seen more broadly during internationals.

What did he do wrong? Fouls picked up, YCs early but accurate,
has set his stall out and players understand what is a foul. I
think he has been good

Agree RCG. I don’t like when posts are extremely critical
without offering any evidence. To me adds little to the debate.
AR may be disappointed to not have detected the offside in real
time.

Havent seen the first half so cant comment but a poor
non-offside by the assistant just now, looked pretty clear cut
even on first viewing.
