A masterclass by Turpin as we come to expect from him , had full
control throughout and players respected him played good
advantages couldn’t ask for more

Agreed but his signals are a bit weak and half hearted at times.
Gets away with it though
Best team on the pitch in what was a snooze fest 🥱

I agree that Turpin was fine.
England can claim that they made their contract, but given their
vulnerability, they had only bid a humble part score, rather
than a game - let alone a slam
Two things have been missing: Mr Southgate needs to rediscover
his waistcoat and, more importantly, the players need another
inspirational encounter with the inflatable unicorns.

Like Turpin generally and no major issues in a dreadful game.
Usually has full control, calm, gets most things right. But a
seemed a bit off-colour to me. Speculate whether feedback after
opener wasn’t good and he feels a bit bruised?
Firstly, looked grumpy / disinterested throughout. Low key is
great - in the background, if game allows - but should still
look sharp and engaged.
I personally find it irritating when refs just whistle for fouls
but don’t signal, especially a quiet whistle. Turpin does this
for almost every FK or just points at the foul. Must be a
nightmare in the stadium; wouldn’t have a clue who the soft
fouls had been given to.
Gave too many soft fouls when players went down cheaply - mostly
to England - where he should’ve just waved play on.
Also his YC being almost covered by a white sticker is annoying
- game so bad I noticed!
Nothing noticeable to the average non-ref fan, but I think there
have been far better overall performances.

He had a decent game. The mantra of refereeing what is in front
of you made for an easy day at the office.
I do like his long sleeves pulled up halfway up the forearms.
Gives an air of someone rolling the sleeves up to administer the
game

Three things, Southgate's P45 must have been lost in the post
