Very stop start in the first half, lots of rolling around on the
floor from both sides and perhaps a card or two missed by the
officials.
Could be a tricky second half if the teams keep up the
persistent niggly stuff that’s going on.
I do like the gold kit though…

Pretty sure that was longer than the guideline 20-25 seconds,
yet Rodri not instructed to leave the field...

I wasn’t too impressed with Vinčić this evening… far
too lenient with all the push and shove in the box from set
pieces and a card or two to calm it down wouldn’t have gone a
miss.
Also look a little lost when trying to deal with it and was
scampering around the box trying to diffuse it all.
Didn’t make any huge clangers but the whole performance
certainly wasn't of an official who has taken charge of a UCL
final.
Pretty poor if truth be told.

I have to say that I'd expect that to be his tournament done if
its anyway fair due to 2 average performances at best,
considering how high the bar has been set by officials so far.

The ‘prevention’ at corners is just irritating now. Too many
corners are stopped for no reason, as ref just wants to be seen
to do it. Or picks two players randomly who often both look
totally nonplussed. The players now know it’s going to happen,
so just ignore it. It therefore loses any effect.
If refs are going to do it, only do it when needed, do it
quickly and firmly, and if they actually carry on, publicly pull
out the offenders and caution. Or better still, just give the
penalty - a few more penalties would mean teams have to adapt.

Vinčić is highly rated by the appointing powers and I
really don't understand why. Often I feel like he is too lenient
and doesn't really inspire confidence. Despite often looking
unsteady, he always seems to get through matches without any
major errors or controversy. His Slovenian counterpart Damir
Skomina was a far better ref.
Feel like he'll still get a KO game on reputation.
