Yes it's a bit of fun for a good cause, but really, officials
allowing players to participate with gold chains, ear rings etc,
suprised they didn't allow so called celebrities to use phones
for selfies as well ;)

It raises tens of million pounds, need to look at the bigger
picture. Do people really expect the officials to stop people
playing because they won't take jewellery off, especially when
50% of the players would be affected. The FA / PGMOL will have
been aware of potential issues when agreeing to provide
officials, it can't be an officially sanctioned game after all
as if so mixed gender wouldn't be allowed.

So who gets sued when a player loses the sight in one eye as a
result of an item of jewellery coming into contact with it?

I was more concerned with how poor Rebecca Welsh was ….. some of
those tackles were borderline brutal and dangerous, at worst
could say Ctnical, yes game is for charity but an early yellow
would of showcased to players to put on a exhibition game
instead of some of the wild, brutal fouls that Welsh allowed.

Understand for charity, but I simply would not go near this game
with a ten foot barge pole as a referee.

Hence retired refs were probably the best way as they could
"compromise" more easily
Damned if you do. Damned if you don't

I hope you never encounter real brutality in your life.
