Seems very reactive to me , very much reacting to players
overreaction. Players making too much of minor contact and he's
falling for it. Disappointed so far.

A really poor first half IMO.
Camavinga has avoided a yellow card despite two cautionable
offences.
Vinicius booked despite making no contact on the keeper.
Vinicius then not booked for a scandalous dive (Dortmund player
booked for pointing this out).
Sabitzer booked for dissent at another bad decision.

I think poor is the fairest and nicest word to sum that half up.
Mr Makkelie must be wondering what he's done wrong to have been
pipped to the post by Vincic.

if I was makkelie I would be asking Rossetti why isn’t he
getting these games.2022 clearly best placed for the final.2023
he had the chance but 1 poor game.2024 robbed because of
politics

Dissent is dissent no matter how wrong the decision is.
Otherwise what would be the point of having a dissent law, no
one would complain about a correct decision.

I acc think Taylor could have been suited to this game.2 mainly
footballling teams with a bit of flare for a final(nothing like
roma and Seville)

I didn't think it was a classic Final nor a classic refereeing
performance. Nothing majorly wrong but too many poor decisions.

Dissent is dissent no matter how wrong the decision is.

I entirely agree that dissent is dissent and should be penalised
accordingly. However, in almost every match I've seen, players
will grumble or show dissent from decisions which are perfectly
correct but just happen to go against their team. What a utopian
world it would be if no one would complain about a correct
decision.

At the end of the day, no one will be talking about the
refereeing performance so it can be said “job done” in that
regard. However, no escaping the fact that the first half was
rather poor for the reasons explained earlier. Second half was
more convincing, supplemented with a good on-field call by AR1
for the disallowed header near the end.
