M DONOHUE - Luton v Fulham

Haven’t watched the game but 9 yellows brandished and complaints
from both sets of fans on social media on his performance.
I shall pass the baton to my fellow esteemed Fulham
correspondents who may be able to shed some light on this
afternoons proceedings.

With low expectations, I thought he did OK in the main. Most of
the yellow cards were correct, one or two were harsh, but they
may been due to a comment after the initial decision had been
awarded. His only real errors were the failure to play advantage
on a couple of occasions and one or two strange free-kicks. I
wouldn't have awarded the Luton penalty, the contact was minimal
and the theatrical fall made it look even less like a penalty
and I very much doubt VAR would've got involved had it not been
given. Nothing IMO for the fans to get too excited about on
social media.

I thought also that he did ok. I wouldn’t say that both sets of
supporters were overly critical. Maybe if the game was a bit
more alive there’d have been more criticism.
On the yellows, again, can’t really argue too much. It didn’t
feel a dirty game though. Perhaps the situations could’ve been
managed a bit differently.
