I was against VAR from the start and I’m even more against it
now. There is also the fact that fans were not consulted about
bringing it in, just like they haven’t been consulted on
scrapping fa cup replays. No enjoyment of emotion watching PL
games at the ground anymore. Also, it Makes a mockery that 20
clubs are doing things completely different to the rest of the
pyramid! Football survived 155 years with referees and
assistants and no technology, so why we need VAR is beyond me

someone in a team of 4 to have spotted particularly the handball
by Soucek

If the fans had been consulted I suspect most would have said
yes to technology though, certainly a very different outcome to
if they had been consulted on the scrapping of FA Cup replays.
The problem is how it was pitched, particularly in the media,
was it coming in to completely eradicate game changing errors
from games. That was never going to be the case due to the
level of subjectivity on most footballing decisions, hence the
use of clear and obvious. Not massively different from Brexit,
people wouldn't have necessarily known what they were voting for
😂

Just the FA Cup Final and the Championship Play- Off left for
the authorities to produce the perfect ga,e of football.
Never mind, there will always be the next 100 plus years to
achieve your objective.
Good luck from a disillusioned 77 year old who seems to be
losing the plot of just what football is all about, until I
watched England Under 17s beating France tonight ---well done to
a fine set of lads who worked well as a team.
