I’m happy with Sunny for our first leg. Johnathon Bickerdike
gets his 2nd Crewe v Doncaster game this season and Simon Mather
returns just short of a month since his last appointment at
Crewe.

Good spread of officials so far.
Always one surprise: in this very fluid appointing season
nothing would have suggested that Ross Joyce was up there-
congrats to him
Other surprise is Breakspear as a 4th, I would have hoped he got
a middle

Congratulations to all those appointed. Joyce with L2 Playoffs
in consecutive years obviously a trusted pair of hands.
Strong indication that Finnie is in line for promotion. L1
Playoffs and FA Vase final is the same appointments that
Backhouse received last year prior to promotion so I assume he
must be top of the rankings.
My guess would be Toner and S Oldham for the 2nd legs of the L2
Playoffs.

Is there VAR for the finals at Wembley like last year?
If so, Sam Barrott or Josh Smith would be leading candidates for
the L1/L2 finals.

Tom Nield was a surprise choice for the League Two final last
year despite the presence of VAR.

Having seen Ross Joyce many times during Rochdale's time in the
EFL, I find his placement in the play-offs rather contradictory,
particularly when you look at his appointments across the whole
season. Still, others will have a more holistic view of his
performances.

I believe Josh Smith was born near Peterborough....hopefully he
won't be able to do the League 1 final (fingers crossed with my
posh supporting hat on)
