Brighton will feel very aggravated with the free kick decision
given when Foden actually slipped over with no contact and
subsequently they scored from it.

Not only that but the cheeky bugger implored Mr Gillett to award
a penalty

VAR not doing it job properly again. That was a clear foul on
Joao Pedro by Gvardiol and nothing given.
I can understand the view of Gillett could have been obstructed
by Gvardiol made no attempt for the ball and took out Joao
Pedro.
A poor evening for the officials here.

Manchester City won't be complaining at all.

No chance for me, Joao Pedro felt an arm on his back and just
flung himself to the floor.

Was that the first penalty appeal or the second? I could
understand the second one as there appeared to be contact with
leg and hip by the City player. Whether it was C & O is
anyone's guess.
Can't say I thought Gillett was particularly good this evening
and I had some sympathy when the Brighton supporters
sarcastically applauded him near the end when he awarded
Brighton a free kick.
It was difficult to see the contact which earned Foden the free
kick from which he scored City's first goal.

With reference to free kick from which Foden scored city second
goal via a deflection, i think the contact was a little further
back, the tackle before Foden slipped, soft i would agree.
With regard to the Joao Pedro incident, one mans version of
clear and obvious as against anothers.
I didnt think Gillett was particularly poor tonight it was an OK
performance from which City got the rub of the green.
Gillett warming up his Orange shirt for a visit to the Cottage
soon.

Agreed, nothing much in it, tangle of legs maybe but not enough.
Good call on field and VAR this time.
