Guess if legal teams get involved Mr Webb won't use the
incidents in his next programme with Michael Owen. But they need
to be reviewed for the sake of the game.

This reminded me of a game I attended in 2018 and which keeps
springing to mind with events this season in the midlands. There
was never any comeback but the press did report on the
possibilities.

Also played for and has refereed Leicester in European
competitions

I watch Leicester games and Christophe Ridley who has loose
associations with Tigers historically seems to go the other way
in overcompensating. But again at the absolute worst, it’s minor
cognitive bias. And rugby refereeing is far more subjective than
football officiating so it’s easier to claim bias in rugby.

Much as I agree with the posts deploring the comments by Notts
Forest, I would also like to have read more views on the merits
or otherwise of the 3 non-penalty decisions. I watched only a
little of the game but I felt the second shout for the handball
was a reasonable one and am sure VAR wouldn't have intervened
had Taylor given it.

There has to be very serious action taken against Forest here,
they have borderline accused both the match officials and PGMOL
of corruption. This could have very serious implications on
Stuart Attwell's reputation and cannot be left to go unchecked
or unchallenged.
This was also put out straight after the game, and doesn't feel
like a tweet a junior social media administrator would be
allowed to post, rather feels like this would have been approved
at the very highest level of the club. Almost as though they
had it lined up before the game was even played in case there
were any controversial decisions go against them.

Haven’t seen the full game but seen the highlights. The one
where Young comes straight through the back of the player should
have been a penalty. The handball: as I said on the Coventry man
United thread I have no idea what a penalty is now, so compared
to others probably should have been given.
The other one I don’t think is a foul. Surprised Taylor didn’t
give it considering some of the pens he’s given this season.
As for forest they are nothing short of a disgrace! As This is a
club under investigation for financial irregularities you’d
think they’d be doing their best to keep the Pl on side. I’d be
docking them another point of two for bringing the game into
disrepute. The PL need to grow some backbone and punish them or
they will lose all the respect and integrity they have left!
Not sure what Clattenburg is advising them but if he doesn’t
resign after that then he has all credibility too

This should be a discussion about Taylor's performance and his
relationship with his VAR. Unfortunately it has been
overshadowed by Forest's disgraceful tweet, questioning the
integrity of the officials.
Taylor got several decisions wrong, key ones and the handball
claim irritates me. There is no consistency and there is
evidence to suggest the referees don't know what handball is.
E.g. Jones today and Taylor set different bars for handball, and
that should not be the case.

Considering a lot of the penalties given by Anthony Taylor this
season i would say at least 2 of the 3 incidents should have
resulted in a spot kick.
Think both Taylor and Attwell on var have had a very poor day at
the office today.
I wonder if this will have any effect on the chances of Attwell
getting the cup final?
As for the tweet by Nottingham Forest, messrs Clough and Taylor
will be turning in their graves. I feel that to disassociate
himself from the tweet Mark Clattenburg ought to resign with
immmediate effect.
The owner of Nottingham Forest appears to have brought the
football club into disrepute with the actions on X, which i
assume he or someone high up in club have sanctioned and they
ought to take full responsibility.
