Everton v Nottingham Forest: Anthony Taylor

Attwell on VAR has been terrible. At least 2 (Young handball and
Young tackle on 54') are stonewall penalties and he should be
off the pitch therefore. The 3rd one on Reyna in the 1st half is
also a potential penalty. Taylor has also been poor. Stopping
for non head injuries, gave Forest absolutely everything in the
1st half and now giving Everton everything to make up for it
now. Some will say I'm Ref bashing but it's the truth on this
occasion!

Horrendous injury for Beto, stretchered off with an O² tank.
Wishing him well and a speedy recovery.

A very normal tweet from Forest accusing the VAR of cheating.

This is what Nottingham Forest have tweeted:
"Three extremely poor decisions - three penalties not given -
which we simply cannot accept.
We warned the PGMOL that the VAR is a Luton fan before the game
but they didn’t change him. Our patience has been tested
multiple times.
NFFC will now consider its options."
Unbelievable. I think a very stern punishment should follow for
the club. Yes Taylor and moreso Attwell had a poor game but to
tweet this is completely unacceptable.

Agreed, but it’s a problem created by the PGMOL appointments.
Farcical, or you could say Varcical. Appointing Kavanagh for
example would have avoided a twitter post of that nature, no
matter how badly written it is.

Nottingham Forest have disgraced themselves with that tweet.
Previous public official complaints, hiring Mark Clattenburg as
little more than a tool to beat referees with and now this. I am
sure they are a fantastic club with many fantastic supporters,
staff and volunteers but the hierarchy seem to have a real issue
with referees. I am hoping that they will come out and
disassociate themselves with the staff member who made the
tweet, if not by accusing an official of bias directly in an
official club statement, they have brought the conversation
about refereeing to a very pathetic new low.
What a very very sorry day indeed, I was a big fan of Mark
Clattenburg but how he can associate himself with these comments
in any way, as a former referee himself, is, for any amount of
money, quite pathetic. A shameful affair.

Having an ounce of class would also prevent that tweet.
Questioning an officials integrity is not the PGMOL's fault. It
isn't badly written, it is inexcusable.

I didn’t pick this up until earlier, but Stroud was the
replacement 4th official. If Taylor pulled a hamstring in the
warm up, you have another referee who has declared himself as
Luton fan officiating the game. In the current situation is
probably not right. Not to question the integrity of the
officials involved whom I’m more than confident wouldn’t dream
of putting club allegiances ahead of their job.
The statement is deplorable but feel this was a little avoidable
from the appointments committee.
Edit: Equally perplexing to add that the Everton win was
probably the worst result on offer for LTFC today!!
