Decent first half from Coote. No controversial incidents and
White deserved his card for a shirt pull.
Yellow kit too.. happy days.

I wasn’t too impressed when I seen the appointments on Tuesday
and seen Coote on our game, but it was a easy game to referee
and no major incidents the only thing I think he missed was a
yellow for Carlos for a high boot on Odegaard after giving
Gabriel one in the first half, but other than that he was solid
and had a good game let it flow I.e with the White shirt pull
which was a a yellow and the Rogers one on Saka where he played
advantage, although I do think it was a harsh yellow as I
thought it wasn’t a foul and was just a collision

I thought he was superb it begs the question why can’t he
perform like that consistently ? He was laid back got everything
correct and nearly smiled !! I think it’s fair to say his good
performances are few and far and not for the first time I’ve
seen him there is ability in him to be one of top refs with
performances like today but it doesn’t happen

Very good performance from Coote today, the Villa fans will soon
be saying can we have him every week lol.
Coote always performs well in games like today where the players
want to play and get on with it, in my view he has big problems
with niggly, physical games where players are insistent of
settling vendettas like our game at Brentford this season.

He's normally decent when he refs AFCB although always wears
y****w. I don't mind getting him as ref, different story as VAR
mind!

Spot on there, really good on field more often than not, but
poor as a VAR, as are most of the current crop. Slowing every
little thing down looking for something that isn’t there, not
understanding handball etc. etc.
Well done Mr Coote here.
