Stuart Attwell - West Ham vs Fulham

A game of very few incidents and Attwell got most things right.
Most importantly, he stopped the play and got immediate
attention for the unfortunate George Earthy who had only been on
a few minutes, before (I think) clashing heads with his own
player and after a lengthy delay was stretchered off. Universal
applause for all fans and I hope it's less serious than it first
seemed and he makes a full and speedy recovery.
Only two real incidents of note where Attwell got it wrong in my
opinion, the YC for Decordova-Reid when he won the ball with a
fair tackle and the YC for Paqueta who kicked Lukic to the
ground with no attempt to win the ball and should have seen
red....see link further down thread

Pretty routine stuff for Attwell this afternoon in a decent
contest.
Paqueta was very lucky to survive however, not sure why VAR
wasn’t in the ear of Attwell but no other grumbles with most of
the decisions and a good win for us too.
Onto Liverpool next Sunday… definitely no Gillett for that one!

Thought Attwell was pretty good. Overall control was excellent,
albeit helped by two teams just trying to play football. The
yellow for Decodova-Reid was ridiculous, haven’t a clue what
Stuart was thinking there, but he’s allowed a mistake or two.
The Paqueta ‘tackle’ was probably an orange, a red would’ve been
a tad harsh, but equally he could have no complaints

Three PL games yesterday and, if we include Chris Kavanagh at
Liverpool v Palace, little or nothing in the way of controversy,
which is good to see. And am I a happy bunny? You bet I am!

I have my Fulham v Palace tickets safely locked away for the
27th of this month.
Would like to see Barrott or Josh Smith on this one. We might
even get Welch.

Ha, I think it depends on results this coming weekend + possible
points deductions. If the Palace are still in the mire by the
27th, I think it will be tailor-made for Taylor, if not, then
I'm sure the Fulham fans would want to welcome back Lewis Smith.
