Rebecca Welch Abuse

Hasn't been reported by the media yet but Ms Welch has been
subject to misogynistic abuse on X this evening following her
decision to award Bristol City a last gasp penalty vs
Huddersfield which resulted in them scoring an equaliser. It was
clearly the wrong call, however the disgusting posts of the
keyboard warriors on X are horrible. I won't attach the posts as
they don't belong here but they are truly horrific.

From the limited highlights I have seen I cannot be sure what it
hit or how far his arm was from his body.
Unless you have seen better angles than me I cannot see how
anyone can say its wrong and certainly not "the worst decision
ever"

Not nice to hear, not acceptable at all. Hope the purpetrators
receive a knock on the door and suffer a relevant punishment,
however i will hold my breath.

I have just read the comments on the BBC web site and ,of
course, every complaint/comment about Ms Welch being the worst
ref etc comes from Huddersfield supporters (and some are not
nice) are balanced by other comments from Bristol supporters
are quite complimentary
I suppose it is always the former that make the headlines giving
an unbalanced view of the situation

Having watched the replay on ITV is definitely hits the arm,
somewhere near a raised elbow. I can fully understand why she
gave it and gave it so decisively

As a Huddersfield town fan, I'm not too sure that it was the
decision about the penalty that is the issue here, it's the fact
that there were 5 minutes added and the penalty was scored in
the 100th minuet. Why were they playing for so long? That's what
we are annoyed at. And as for the abuse about her being female,
well that's just wrong and has no place in sport.
