Not Tim's finest moment. Should've been a clear penalty. Very
controversial if it ends 0-0.

That is where VAR is needed. I don't think either referee or
the active AR have any chance of seeing it, they will both have
their views blocked by Rodon's head.

The AR defo had a better view than Robinson but he was still
partially blocked.

An absolutely shocking display from Robinson and the assistants
today. Missed two hand balls and therfore two penalties. Got
numerous off sides wrong. Made no attempt to curtail time
wasting. And with 6 cards, 7 subs, time wasting from the
Sunderland GK, various lectures etc etc, 3 minutes of added time
was scandalous. Not to mention Ballard still being on the pitch
after at least 5 bookable offences.

Seems like people here have never heard of rush goalie.
Definitely got away with one there immediately got my phone to
see a replay at the game, didn’t think he had a good game at all
but as a fan I can’t complain 😀

Once again if the referee had been in the stand behind the goal
he would have had a great view!!
Why not call the player out as a "ch**t" as opposed to blaming
correctly positioned officials?
Didn't see game so cannot comment on overall performance

He isn’t in the right position though as he hasn’t seen it.
Comes from the top of PGMOL being too static and too straight
outside the penalty area. Handball is clear but it ink also a
clear pen in first half

Unfortunate for Leeds because both shouts should have been
penalties. I think the one in the first half is easier to spot
for Tim as his positioning is excellent, but even the Leeds
players didn’t really appeal.
The one in the second half could have been a penalty for the
shirt pull or the hand ball, I accept Tim may not have spotted
the handball but he should have seen the shirt pull. AR had a
better view but further away so very difficult.
I must admit, I didn’t watch the whole game so not really in a
position to comment on the added time, but 3 minutes is very
rare these days, even with the initiative clearly gone. 5 subs
and 5 yellows should really at least amount to 5 minutes, when
you take into account other inevitable stoppages.

If he is rated as one of the top referees in the game god help
us. A quality referee would not of missed two balant hand balls
as he seemed to b in perfect position for the first offence

At the game and I agree with most of the comments. From where I
was sat I find it difficult to accept Tim Robinson or Darren
Cann did not see the second penalty call. The first penalty call
should have been seen by Tim Robinson.
The referee in me keeps a stop watch on all games I watch. I am
generally about right with added times on live and TV games but
not last night. The first half had 1 added minute, I thought 3.
Nothing added for time wasting. The second half I had 7 added
minutes not 3. In the second half there were 5 yellow cards and
7 substitutes. 3 minutes not enough for this. Nothing added for
blatant time wasting by the Sunderland goalkeeper and defence at
goal kicks. No-one spoken to about time wasting. In addition
there were several times when I timed in excess of 30 seconds
when the Sunderland goalkeeper had control of the ball, ie in
his hands. No action taken, so much for upholding the laws of
the game. The Yorkshire Post reporter, who is usually very fair
gave Tim Robinson 2/10 for his performance.
In my opinion I have seen too many games when SG1 referees have
poor games in the Championship, as if it is beneath them.
The teams, supporters and the game deserve better performances
than this from the officials.
