Frappart should be. She’s had a good season and has had good
games.

Impossible to try and second guess Rosetti, but assuming they go
with 19 officials again, this is my current view:
12 Dead-certs: Taylor, Oliver, Turpin, Letexier, Zwayer, Orsato,
Kovacs, Makkelie, Marciniak, Vincic, Gil Manzano + the CONMEBOL
exchange referee
3 Very likely: Sanchez Martinez, Dias, Gozbubyuk,
4 Others: Massa (although Guida seems quite in favour at the
moment for the 2nd Italian spot), Nyberg, Peljto, Scharer (or
Meler if unfit).
This would mean 2 officials from England, France, Netherlands,
Italy and Spain
Regarding Frappart, I'm not sure they will have 3 French
officials unless they increase the referee pool to say 23 or 24
referees.

I be wouldn’t rule out Siebert , granted he hasn’t been good
enough IMO , and I think Zwayer has overtaken him for now , I
would like to see Jose Maria Sanchez Martinez go he’s been
excellent when I’ve seen him
Nyberg could be a dark horse and make it onto the definite list
he seems highly rated and gets good appointments

I am not sure that Gil Manzano is a cert due to his performance
in the playoff match in October, since then his appointments
have not been good - indeed he was 4th official to Sanchez
Martinez in a recent Champions League game. I would have
thought Nyberg and Espen Eskas would go. Frappart did not
perform well recently but I feel she will be invited. Agree
that for some Guida seems to be in contention - it's either him
or Massa for the 2nd Italian place.
If there is a limit on 19 it would be:
Taylor, Oliver, Turpin, Letexier, Zwayer, Orsato, Kovas,
Makklelie, Marciniak, Vincic, Sanchez Martinez, Nyberg, Eskas,
Massa/Guida, Siebert, Dias, Scharer, +1 female +1 South America
I think Gil Manzano might well miss out.

Letexier's performance on Tuesday night at RM confirms that the
UEFA authorities may have a problem sending Frappert to Euro
2024 as the sole female representative if the number of referees
per nation is to be limited to two.

It's a shame countries, UEFA politics or anything else plays a
part in selection really as it should be the best of the best
who are selected, no matter the country or number from a
country.
I mean, if we were to follow that example through domestically
and say of the current SG1 referees, it would be ridiculous to
suggest that as there are already a decent quota from the around
the Manchester-ish area, to even the numbers up and ensure they
are spread around, future SG1 promotions will only be from under
represented geographical locations, say, London, Cornwall,
Cumbria or wherever!

Much as I would like both Taylor and Oliver to be at Euro'24,
I'm not sure Oliver can be regarded as a "dead cert". Since his
extended absence over Christmas and New Year, his international
appointments have been fairly routine even in the Europa League.
This links in with the question of whether 5 countries will
provide 2 referees.
France certainly with Turpin and Letexier but are the other 4 so
clear cut?
For Spain, there has been debate on Law5 as to whether Manzano
might lose out to Martinez due to at least one very
disappointing performance.
I expect Italy will have a second referee as well as Orsato
although whether deserved is debatable, and whether it should be
Massa or Guida is another matter.
From the Netherlands, I think Gözübüyük is likely to go with
Makkelie.
Whether Portugal will have a representative in Dias, I'm not
sure.
Recent reports suggest Nyberg and Meler have performed well and
Rosetti could be inclined to recognise that.
Hasn't it been confirmed there will only be 18 referees. If so,
does that include a South American?
I hope Oliver is at the Euros. Overall he was good at the last
Euros and in Qatar with a knock-out appt. but did particularly
well in the Group stages. But I don't feel it's a given as some
suggest.
