What do we think of the offside decision at the end.to me it
looks like wolves might see another apology off Howard Webb

They deserve one. Absolutely scandalous decision, as quoted per
Gary Oniell. Shambolic. Robinson and Harrington should be
subjected to at least 1 week off completely. It shows a complete
lack of understanding of football all around. Moyes says its
dreadful, ONiell says its woeful, Fabianski says its wrong.
Therefore it's a horrific call.

That's not how it works though, is it? Standing in front of a
keeper in an offside position like that has for as long as I can
remember nearly always been called offside, which it also is by
the letter of the law. I can't even phantom Howard Webb giving
them anything close to an apology for this one. I do absolutely
understand that Wolves are frustated, I would likely also be if
I was in their situation, but we have to look at what the rule
says and how it's been applied constantly for years, and
therefore offside is absolutely the correct call in this
situation

Key fact here, Fabianskis view isn't being blocked by the
offside player and the ball doesn't get played into an area
within reach of the offside player. This decision has shattered
Wolves hopes of a chance of a lifetime in Europe next year, and
Webb must apologise and take action.

He's right in front of him when the header is made, I don't see
how you can say that he doesn't block his view. Sorry if I'm
being harsh on you today, I feel like we might have quite
different opinions on refereeing overall and that is obviously
okay :)

Baffling and for me a wrong decision, but when is O Neil going
to be punished for his comments. Week in Week out he shouts bile
about referees!?

Nothing below the belt this week, everything he said was true
and not unacceptable

I’m somewhere in the middle. I think there’s a case that the
Wolves player is impacting Fabianski’s ability to see or get to
the ball, but is it a clear and obvious error? Not for me - I’d
expect to stick with whatever the onfield decision was, either
goal given or offside.

Clear and obvious error doesnt come into play here.
If the onfield referee was happy that the wolves player wasnt
impacting the west ham goalkeeper regardless of whether he could
have saved it or not then he would not have reversed his
decision.
The decision is a subjective one, var can only say there is a
player in an offside position that could be impacting the
goalkeeper but it has to be the onfield referees final decision.
Perhaps the onfield referee wasnt in a position to see the line
of vision of the goalkeeper hence when reviewing he reversed his
decision. Var did its job in this instance.
