Andrew Kitchen: Bristol City vs Leicester City

Poor couple of minutes for Kitchen. In my opinion, 2 clear
penalties missed for Bristol City, one where Choudhury hauled
the striker down in the box without looking at the ball at all,
the second where Faes pulled the shorts of the attacker and also
clipped him, that one should also be DOGSO and RC.
Another clear foul missed just now, Choudhury goes straight
through the back of the BC CM.

How can it be a penalty and a DOGSO with double jeopardy? God
knows what Choudhury was doing for the first one but I’m not
convinced at all with the second one.

Not attempting to play the ball

Pulling shorts can hardly be described as attempting to play the
ball, quite straightforward pen and red.

Shame about that penalty decision which is a clear wrong KMI,
but overall had a very good game. Calm, unflustered and stayed
in background. let game flow and didn't resort to cards like
certain other referees. Really like his style

He might be attempting to play a ball, but certainly not the
football!

I’ve seen some very poor referees in recent weeks watching
Leicester, but I thought Mr Kitchen was excellent yesterday. Let
things go in equal measure for both teams, all cards correct.
The only thing I can think of that he may have called
incorrectly, from where I was sitting (at the opposite end of
the ground), I thought Faes should have seen red for a shirt
pull DOGSO - couldn’t tell you whether it was inside or outside
the area though due to the view I had and haven’t seen it back.
