  HTML https://www.icc-cricket.com/news/sharfuddoula-becomes-the-first-bangladesh-umpire-to-be-included-in-the-icc-elite-panel
Congratultions to Sharfuddoula who becomes the first umpire from
Bangladesh to be appointed to the ICC Elite Panel. His replacing
of Marais Erasmus is the only change.
The ICC Referees panel has also changed, reducing in size from 7
to 6. England's Chris Broad is the man to leave the panel.
Interesting to note the name Mike Riley in the election prcess -
       is that THE Mike Riley?

Surprised about this. Wasn't too impressed with him in the
Australia v West Indies series and I got the impression he
wasn't ready for the next step.
I was hoping Chris Brown would be promoted. Really rate him.
Edit: Didn't mean to sad react the OP. I'm not that bothered by
       it!

I assume this means Illingworth will stay on the panel until
next year. Will be interesting to see who is appointed to the
World T 20 in June, usually gives a good indication who’s in the
frame to be promoted to the elite panel.

With regards to Illingworth, I’m sure the rule was that you had
to leave the panel before turning 61 (I remember reading
something along those lines when Bruce Oxenford retired). With
Illingworth turning 61 in August, I wondered if he might leave
after the World T20 and be replaced immediately, similar to
       Oxenford replacing Taufel in 2012?

Ian Gould retired when he was 61, he turned 62 the month after
he retired. Steve Davis retired when he was 62. I don’t think
that there’s a set age for retirement, but I reckon it is more
than likely Illingworth will retire from the elite panel in the
       next year or so.
