Sorry my reply I should have quoted Bristol Rovers v Shrewsbury
having nothing riding on it. Pleased football authorities think
Shrewsbury are safe.

Tranmere Rovers FC (First Team) v Colchester United FC (First
Team)
Referee: Tallis, Scott
Assistant Referee: Guest, Danny
Assistant Referee: Forder, Jack
Fourth Official: Clayton, Alan
I was a little apprehensive about this appointment, as while the
only time I'd seen Mr Tallis in action previously, he was fine,
he was in the middle for Rovers v Salford earlier in the season
and seemed to attract a fair amount of negative comment. In
particular that game was very stop-start due to a lot of fouls
given for minimal contact.
Pleased to report than in that regard there was nothing to worry
about, Mr Tallis tried to let the game flow and played a few
good advantages, one for Colchester's Anderson early in the
first half leading to an effort on goal. He was correct to
produce the YC for a couple of cynical challenges on Robbie
Apter and don't think there could be any argument for 5 of the 6
he produced. It was unclear why Colchester's Hall picked up a YC
for an incident involving a Colchester goal-kick. Two decisions
which seemed mistakes, a free-kick given Rovers' way initially
but quickly rectified, maybe a word in his ear and a goal-kick
for Colchester, when even their players believed it was a
corner. However over 99+ minutes that's reasonable and Mr
Tallis' handling of the game contributed to an entertaining
match.

Good to hear, I had one eye on the game on iFollow and agree he
seemed to keep on top of things well. Tranmere probably a little
unlucky not to come away with all 3 points but a needed 1 for us
with FGR and Sutton winning!

Crewe Alexandra FC (First Team) v Forest Green Rovers (First
Team)
Football League 2
Referee: Eltringham, Geoff
Assistant Referee: Dwyer, Mark
Assistant Referee: Williams, Ryan
Fourth Official: Speedie, Benjamin
A very interesting game for all involved. First off, FGR were
very good and they should play like that every game.
Geoff was consistent with decisions. However, Crewe had 3 very
strong appeals for handball all in the second half. 1 of them
looked a certain spot kick with the other 2 50/50. Then, around
the 78th min, our #21 was running down the line with the FGR
left back next to him. Our #21 gets a slight push by the left
back who goes into AR2 and he goes half way over the advertising
board. Play was stopped because it looked like Ryan had cut his
elbow open quite badly. Fourth official Ben Speedie had to come
on to replace him for the closing stages. He didn’t have a lot
to do to his relief. A steward had to do the added time, via the
help of the FGR assistant manager and AR1 telling him how much
to add, 11 mins were put up.
Some things to improve on - hurrying up the keeper. He never
spoke to the keeper when he was consistently time wasting.

I'd class it as a good game for the neutral with Mr Tallis
playing his part in that. Rovers edged the first half, but
Colchester ahead in the second. Think you'll gather enough
points to just stay up, but it will be nailbiting.
