I don't want to tempt fate, but I think he's been absolutely
       outstanding so far tonight.
I'll be honest and say his refereeing style usually frustrates
me, but I think he has been very good tonight.

I agree he’s been outstanding as we head into injury time , he’s
been unusually lenient , but consistent and has let the game
       breathe and flow .
Has refereed with a smile on his face , and charged in to
       prevent potential flashpoints

Happy with him for this leg as he let the game flow unlike the
referee in the first leg, not impressed with Porto’s tactics
over the 2 games mind, time wasting after 10 minutes utter joke,
maybe this was the only thing he could of clamped down on as
there was a couple instances as well where we took ages over
throw-ins but Porto was just constantly getting away with it,
overall satisfied with his performance and I did comment that I
was happier with this referee’s performance to my family in
letting it flow and so we could try and play which Porto was
       content in stopping

I switched on just before half time and thought I was looking at
something from former times, with apparent fouls going
unpunished and yellow cards nowhere to be seen. Having said
that, I too was impressed with the way Clement allowed the game
to flow, and he was consistent as well which I applaud. My one
reservation is that his apparent leniency wound the management
up and both managers were yellow carded, with unsavoury scenes
at the end of the game. Having said that, If Clement can have
the TNT commentator and pundits drooling over his performance as
he did, then he could not have been doing much wrong! AR2 Erwan
Finjean - what a hairstyle! CT's half rolled up sleeves reminded
me of Robert Wirtz and Michel Vautrot from days of old, so a
       French trait perhaps?

But how do you stop a team playing "anti-football"? I read
somewhere and so I may be wrong, but there were a record number
of fouls in the game. My point being is that I do not want to
watch that sort of game where one team's tactics is to break up
play by fouling and time wasting. As for TNT, as with Sky, they
will not criticise the hand (i.e. the product) that feeds them.

On the referees performance, not sure what to say really, was it
good or was it not so good?
As for Porto tactics, they have to find a a way to win the game
withing the laws of the game and to do so not all teams can play
       fast flowing, attractive football

Better than the referee he let it flow as I have stated as I
thought the first leg referee was whistle happy, and he let the
tackles fly in and it was for both sides and he didn’t go to his
       cards

You need to have immense confidence in your refereeing ability
to let so much go in a big game like that. Think the
commentator summed it up when he said it looked like the referee
was about to lose control but he never thought he would.

I think if ever there was a tasty match where a perfect example
of managing the game without resorting to cards at every turn
and letting things go but remaining in control then this was it
an absolute masterclass on reflection and one of Turpins most
       impressive performances
So often we see referees try to manage games before resorting to
dishing out cards and it backfires this one certainly wasn’t one
       of them
