Looks like Jones is the next official on the lengthy bmb naughty
step list! 😛

Far too much over-reaction, surrounding the ref and waving
imaginary yellow cards going totally unpunished for my liking

Not really sure what to make of Jones this evening.
Although there weren’t any major howlers or controversies, I
didn’t think he had complete control on proceedings given some
of the “needle” as Alan Smith put it between the sides on the
field. Things could have easily tipped over.
Collins wasn’t carded for waving his hand toward Jones demanding
a card after claims for an Arsenal dive, and others have sailed
close to the wind too.

When I watch Jones I always think he's so keen to try and let it
run (which is to be commended) that he sometimes misses blatant
fouls and that in turns leads to a slight loss of control. I
think Havertz was lucky, though I accept Jones had players in
the road and I suspect the assistant didn't have a clear view of
the ball either to be certain if it was a tumble and dive or a
bump and play on.

If Jones had given a penalty for the Havertz diving incident,
presumably as part of the VAR overturn he would have been
cautioned for simulation (and therefore be off)? If so he’s
lucky both Jones and AR2 were uncertain enough or unsighted to
not give anything !

Perhaps they were all just telling him Missy bmb wasn't going to
be happy and he knew they were right! [emoji6]

They may as well just remove simulation from the list of yellow
card offences at this point. Only 2 scenarios happen when it
comes to simulation these days:
1) player dives, referee gives a penalty, VAR overturns and we
carry on as if nothing happened
2) player dives, referee gives nothing, referee makes a signal
showing VAR are checking and then we carry on as if nothing
happened

I've just has an ISO accreditation meeting where the three
grading colours were described as pink, orange and 'pale
orange'. Maybe Missy BMB has got to them too?

Completely agree. It tuned what was a very entertaining match
into a whingefest, both teams being equally culpable. What
happened to the directive at the beginning of the season that
anyone running towards an official to protest about a decision
should be cautioned?
