Unfortunately the worst performance I’ve seen by any referee
this season, can’t see how he’s been given so many high profile
games this, when he’s clearly not good enough.
Penalty for Hull was given for a slight nudge on the attacker,
and was clearly 2 or 3 yards outside the penalty area, both
sides were astonished he gave a penalty. AR2 offered no help
despite having the more credible angle.
Penalty given to Leicester also extremely soft, appeared to be a
       case of ‘evening it up’.
It was impossible to work out what he thought was a foul and
what wasn’t, gave free kicks for minimal contact one minute,
then not for the same thing the next minute.
Stopped the play 4 (FOUR!) times for non-head injuries, it got
to the point where he wasn’t even checking if the physio was
required, just forced them to come on anyway.
To top it all off, Seri stepped across a Leicester free kick to
delay the restart. Barrott had his card out of his pocket before
realising he’d already cautioned Seri and then bailed out of it.
Very, very poor display. I hope for Sam’s sake Mr Webb missed
       this one!

Judging by your previous posts it is obvious that you are
someone who only posts when a referee has a bad peformance and
never when they have done good. I haven't seen the game so can't
comment on it but to say a performance was pathetic is to far
and also to call him a bottlejob is also bad. Please try and be
more constructive in your criticism instead of just slating the
       referee all the time.

We’ve had Sam a dozen times the last two seasons and I cannot
remember him having that bad of a game ( bar Leicester when he
missed the stone wall pen for dewsbury hall ). So I believe
today was just a one off.

I question when a player who has already been yellow carded
commits what appears to me to be another clear yellow card
offence, and the referee appears to reach for another yellow
card, but then, ( from what I could see) decides not to
administer a second yellow card (and in consequence a red card)
puzzles me. It would be be illuminating to be given an
explanation why a second yellow and therefore a red was not
given. An explanation no doubt we will not receive.

Having finally seen the highlights I can now comment on the big
decisions during this game. The 1st penalty for me is soft but
can see why he gave it from where he was as it looked like the
Leicester player pushed him. The 2nd penalty i don't think there
can be any real complaint as it was a penalty given the defender
trips him even if the leicester player is waiting for contact.
The Hull players 1st yellow is correct as he was stopping a
promising attack however for me the decision not to send him off
for blocking the free kick is wrong and he doesn't help himself
by looking as if he's going to get the card out and then
doesn't. However, this is the 1st time in the last few months
that he's had a bad performance from what i've seen and heard.
The thing to remember is that referees will ineveitably have bad
performances as they are human but the best refs are the ones
who only have a few of those a season for example Michael Oliver
who rarely has a bad game.

Just caught up with the highlights.
Hull penalty - 'nudging' continued into the area, so the penalty
       award, although soft, was correct.
Leicester penalty - appeared to be nothing more than a coming
together of players, shoulder to shoulder. I agree, a really
       soft and unjustifiable penalty award.
Hull player blocking a free kick - totally agree, this should
have been a 2nd yellow leading to a red card. No excuses on this
       one in my view.
Barrott is undoubtedly a fine and promising referee at the top
level, but this was clearly not among his better games.

I agree that Sam must have been thinking the same, that the
‘foul’ for the Hull penalty continued into the penalty area.
However in my view this simply isn’t the case, the only contact
was a minimal nudge 3 yards outside the box - potentially enough
to knock the Hull player off balance so, although soft, a free
kick was supportable. Also strange no card was issued here,
looked a clear case of SPA to me.
Again, agree that Barrott is clearly destined for the top and
unfortunately the 2 games I’ve seen him live have just been off
       days for him.
I did make a comment a few months ago that it seemed he was
being pushed too hard too quickly, after his semi final
appointment and that appears to be the case. He’ll certainly be
involved in the play offs so needs his form back by then.
