       S BARROTT - Sheff U v Arsenal

Excellent advantage for Arsenal’s fourth goal when Martinelli
       was hauled over.
I have to say, aside from refereeing matters, how shocking Sheff
Utd are. You have to feel sorry for their fans.

Not much to do for Barrott however everything he is doing very
       very well
       His fitness is phenomenal

The perfect combination, the raw natural refereeing ability and
       the fitness.
If he carries on this progression he will surely be getting a
white badge when Taylor and Pawson have to yield.
       Could he challenge Oliver? Well…

Agree with all of the above but unlike some of the other young
referees being tested at high levels recently, I think he seems
to have a warmth and more of a personality to communicate with
players. He’s very impressive but I don’t think he’s had many
really tough to manage games thus far but I do think he’ll have
the skills to be an excellent game manager too. I really do
think our favoured top 2 in recent years could become a top 3,
maybe 4 if John Brooks can progress too

Come on let’s not go overboard, calling his performance
       excellent …. It’s was satisfactory.
Mandatory yellows missed 2-3 imo- the pull back by mcbernie on
Jordinho first half was blatant yellow.
His handling of the wild foul on Martinelli which was a yellow
looked like he was weak as the players came running in, could
       have been red.
I never felt like he was protecting of the arsenal players vs
the wild fouls Sheffield Utd were putting in.
I didn’t get the feeling that if a game turns tough the players
       will respect him just yet.
As someone just said, he has done ok so far, but the games are
       being chosen very carefully.

I don’t remember there being a red card worthy challenge, unless
       I’m going mad????
This seems rather unnecessarily nitpicky. I couldn’t see any
signs that the players didn’t respect him, you can gain respect
from the players without showing yellow cards everytime someone
is touched. Most games would end up 8 V 8 if we were showing
       cautions there.

There wasn't, it was nothing more than a reckless challenge by
Bogle, didn't come anywhere even vaguely near to SFP. Likewise
the supposed missed caution for Mcbernie pulling back Jorginho,
not a chance, it was a slight tug in a defensive position, no
       way was it SPA.
Someone just has slightly red tinted glasses on, although no
idea why they needed them in such a one sides game.

It wasn’t a red card he did slide in yes but his foot was low to
the ground he was going at speed but I wasn’t shouting at the tv
for a red card, it was yellow at best and it’s a yellow he got
no complaints from me on that
