A MADLEY - Man C v Man U

26 mins in and Madley has had literally nothing to do, not even
one foul to give or anything.
Remarkable for a derby match.

He has correctly turned down 2 (half hearted) penalty appeals
for Man City - the first in particular was a good spot. 25
minutes for the first free kick is very unusual. He will be
hoping the rest of the game is played in a similar spirit.

Madley can be very pleased with his afternoon’s work - putting
his name in the frame for the FA Cup final?

No complaints at all about Madley , one of the easier derby
matches he will referee the gulf in class between city and Utd
was evident throughout especially after city’s equaliser
Lindelof ran out of legs before halftime ETH should have seen
this but sadly like throughout his tenure he doesn’t see the
obvious and makes baffling subs

Can’t argue with any of the above. Pretty routine stuff for the
officials and probably the easiest derby match there’s been for
a while.
Man U were shocking again.. how the mighty have fallen
spectacularly.

Excellent stuff from Andy Madley. The two penalty appeals,
correctly rejected, the second one the keeper got the ball,
despite the protestations of the odious Fernandes.
Rashford and certainly Ten Haag wanted a free kick before the
Man City equaliser. Not for me, Rashford went over too easily.
Ten Haag was rightly cautioned for dissent.
Another thing that the MOTD highlights picked up…..Man Utd
player got a ball in the face from a shot in his penalty area.
Andy Madley stopped the game and then restarted with an
uncontested drop ball where Man City had possession when the
whistle went. I wonder if Paul Tierney was taking note??
As I said, excellent from Andy Madley and he is putting his name
in the frame for either the FA Cup final or the Championship
play off final. He’s having a decent season.

Only saw the highlights on MOTD, but looked the part. Good to
see him have the confidence to wave away Rashford (and another
City playing for a free kick later). Although slight ‘contact’
on Rashford, he went over looking for something, as he had
nothing on.
