Maybe Simon wanted a break between games in the Welsh capital
(Friday to Tuesday), with Roger doing the same on the south
coast (Sat to Wednesday) ;D

Hooper is going to have to put up with Colin on Tuesday night on
the touch line after the decision to not give a penalty to them
on Friday night.
Hope he has his ear plugs in mint condition!!!!

I know it is standard practice to swap officials if there have
been irregular betting patterns on a match. Not saying this has
happened here of course. Personally I don't like the practice as
it seems to question the integrity of the officials.

Ref the midweek swops, imo this confirms the need to avoid
appointing officials to consecutive games, be it as referee
and/or 4O. The authorities wait 24 hours before announcing the
appointment of officials to weekend games where there has been a
Monday night game, presumably in case of injury or other
problem, so why could they not do the same here and swop the
officials over before announcing the appointments, thus saving
themselves a load of hassle?
Edit - will Eric Cantona pay a nostalgic visit to Selhurst Park
tomorrow night I wonder? ;D
