Surely this has to be a joke I get teams will get some refs two
or three times a season but this is Josh smiths 7th Ipswich game
this season. How come we have not had Langford Davies or even
Simpson this season.

A plea for Simpson… things must be bad!
😛😛😛

A plea for Simpson ? ........... guilty
[/quote]
A plea bargain perhaps.....we'll behave ourselves and respect
the match officials if you don't send him.
Not the only Simpson to have escaped the consequences of his
alleged misdemeanours !

MIDDLESBROUGH (First Team) v Norwich City FC (First Team)
Live on Sky Sports Red Button
Football League Championship
Referee: Madley, Robert
Assistant Referee: Antrobus, Blake
Assistant Referee: Hunt, Jonathan
Fourth Official: Kitchen, Andrew
Only just caught up with the TV highlights. If Robert was
thinking in terms of moving onwards and upwards, he would have
done himself no favours with a straight red for a Norwich player
for allegedly kicking an opponent following a tangle in
midfield. I don't often agree with commentators when they
comment adversely on refereeing decisions, but this was one
where I was in full agreement. The only contact seemed to come
as the players untangled themselves and, if that was kicking out
at an opponent, then we may as well all pack up and go home. A
very poor decision in my view and one which changed the whole
nature of the game.

Thought it best for me not to comment. But totally agree,
thankfully the player doesn't get a 4 game ban, perhaps Mr
Madley should instead. He failed to book Ayling in the first
minute for a bad tackle and went downhill from then on. It
doesn't get the 3 points which after 30 minutes looked extremely
likely. Perhaps Howson should get a ban for deceiving officials?

Red card apparently overturned and the Norwich player took his
place in the team yesterday. The only correct decision in my
view and I would hope that Robert would have played a part in
getting the card overturned.
