That's not accurate. He shook hands with the AR1 first, then
Kavanagh and then AR2.

The issue is consistency why have we suddenly decided on a new
standard in a final on judging offside? I’d say inconsistency to
the rest of the season and game is the biggest complaint

Not new - other goals disallowed for this same thing include:
2022 - Liverpool goal disallowed v Chelsea in the Carabao Cup
final
2022 - Man Utd goal disallowed v Burnley
This season - Man Utd goal disallowed v Fulham
This season Brentford goal disallowed v Burnley
There's probably more but I'm not interested in trawling through
the internet to find them.

Leaving aside the fact players/referees sometimes act
differently if they're on a yellow card already and if Chelsea
had been down to 10 men they'd presumably still have had other
defenders marking, I think Chillwell and Palmer were the only
Chelsea players cautioned? Do we need VAR for mistaken identity?

I think you will find it was Chilwell that got booked for
starting the melee with the intention of getting Bradley to
react and receive the same sanction.
Kavanagh had a pretty good game overall, managed issues very
well, let the game flow early on without resorting to cards just
like the higher echelons of the pgmol will have wanted.
The Caicedo incident was a yellow card that he should have
issued and when watching back he probably wont be gappy with.
I have seen far worse things let go in cup finals and much
poorer performances.
If Kavanagh had gone for his cards early and a player or players
had then been silly enough to comit another cautionable offence
to receive a red the referee would have been pilloried for going
so quickly to his cards, rather than blaming players.
If he didnt then issue a second caution in trying to manage the
game he would be accused of bottling it.
Referees can never win whichever way they go.

I’m all for letting things go and Kavanagh did reasonably well
in that respect, but these were cynical dirty reckless fouls and
should have been punished so, instead of worrying about what
players pundits, fans might say. He’s there to control the game
not what is said or written afterwards

What caution that he was given?
The only Chelsea players listed as being booked are Chillwell on
45+3 for usb and Palmer on 120+2.

That was Chilwell, not Colwill. Similar names granted, but
don't look vaguely like each other.
So on your logic Colwell would have been the first person in
history to be sent off for a second caution when only having
received one 😂
