He clearly is destined for great things is Robert Jones. I would
say he is probably in the same ilk as Michael Oliver.
If he can handle (as I'm sure he will) the big East Midlands
Derby, then absolutely he should get a low key mid table game in
the PL with an experienced team like Cann and Garratt and Mike
Dean on board duties.

I agree. However I think he is going to need to be tested soon
as most PL games are anything but 'low key' as the end of the
season approaches. Even Palace v AFCB on the last day may be a
place-decider, with more or less money on offer for the winner
(although probably not a CL or EL place this season) ;D
I would be happy to see Rob i/c at Burnley v Palace on Sat week,
2nd March which I will be attending. This will follow our
customary meat pie in the Cricket Club beforehand. Are you going
Graham ex-ref?
Edit - I note the oft-discussed Jeremy Simpson has a crucial
game towards the foot of the Championship - Reading v Rotherham.

I Miss Wiley, i think he was one of our best at the time, shame
he didn’t go further at uefa. I Don’t think Kavanagh could have
a better tutor to be honest. Wiley Also Mentored Andre Marriner

I don't actually know his age but that, I suggest, is
irrelevant. The question is "is he good enough?" and the
answer, from what I have seen is almost certainly he is, or at
least good enough to be given an opportunity. The reason for
Stuart Attwell's fall from grace was, at that time, not his age
but he simply wasn't good enough. I am pleased to say that he
seems to be on the upward path again although I have my
reservations as to whether he is worthy of his FIFA badge yet
but these things seem to be determined by age rather than
ability these days.

rob is actually 31 yrs of age don't think that is to young, if
your good enough then you should be given a chance to prove
yourself

Mr Wiley was a very distinguished official in his time, much
much better than some of the other officials who presided in the
top tier. It’s a real shame that someone like Wiley isn’t
involved more prominently in the development of the SG2 group.
It would certainly alleviate and remove the dross in there at
present.
