I am sure grandad Stroud and England could do a quick swap to
save on mileage and keep TTFL happy.
Lewis Smith could have his hands full at the Cottage, this games
has been feisty over the last few seasons. Villa also seem to
get their share of newbies too.
Think missy bmb will be very happy a little later this week with
the League Cup Final appointments and may be packing a yellow
bag for a trip to Wembley.

Fulham certainly get more than their share of trialists. Looking
at it positively and without any allegiance, it may be that
Fulham is a club which is noted for a very fair and courteous
treatment of match officials and so an ideal place for a referee
to commence a PL career.

I mostly agree with your sentiments, however Marco Silva and
Luis Boa Morte aren’t people who hold their emotions very well
on the touchline. They are chief offenders when it comes to
losing the plot on the benches.
In terms of abuse from the fans, I would entirely agree as I
have never found the patrons of Craven Cottage to be vociferous.

Indeed, we had Michael Oliver last time at home for this match
and Luiz was sent off for butting Mitrovic. There is still an
edge given the play off final a few years back so it will be a
test as I mentioned previously.

Couldn't agree more with the above.
The best 2b I saw this season.
I believe he will be on the Football league referee list within
two years and then progress further.
Someone I would describe as a natural......

I think that was his first game under the control of the Premier
League, not his first game overall (I stand to be corrected)

Apart from the competition title, the appointment is definitely
not under the control of the Premier League. Premier League do
not appoint Officials. PGMOL controls Step 1 Referee
appointments and above.

He was actually one of 5 SG2 referees appointed to the VAR panel
when it was first introduced, so he actually did VAR on his own
during it's first season of use.
