I didn’t see it, however from our manager’s post match
interview, David admitted he didn’t swear at him. Our manager
said that he will speak to the assessor about it.

You don't have to swear to be rude and/or confrontational.
Either way it doesn't excuse him approaching the ref the way he
did in the first place - that is a mandatory red card.

Doesn't matter whether he swore or not, just going onto the
pitch to confront the match officials is a red card. That's why
we rarely see it these days since the law was changed.
The observer won't discuss incidents with a manager, that isn't
what they are there for.

Correct observers wont speak to managers about incidents, i
would think he would have some things to say to David Rock he
never got to grips with the Harrogate goalkeeper until late in
the game when he cautioned him for time wasting, he had done it
from the start of the game. I thought referees were under
instructions to deal with players wasting time.
Overall performance was a little inconsistent with one of the
worst fouls in the game not even penalised, and he allowed play
to continue, in which Harrogate nearly scored off. I am sure he
has had better days on the field of play

I wasn't at the Rovers v Stockport game and accept it's easier
to dish out the plaudits after a comfortable win, but heard a
lot of positive comment about Alex Chilowicz's officiating
yesterday.

Why was the Crewe manager on the pitch??? It’s the 4th Officials
job to add time on not the Referee. I think all this banter goes
back to last season! Bad blood from your manager! The away
manager in his Report never mentioned the Referee or Officials
Strange don’t you think??

The present Crewe manager was not the manager when David Rock
was last time at Crewe it was Dave Artell, managers go on the
pitch at the end of the game and usually shake hands with the
officials you see it often happen. I would have thought the
referee would indicate to the 4th official how long to indicate
on the board the amount of added time.

The referee would confirm the time added on, but would you want
the game to stop so that the ref himself can walk across the
touchline and wave the numbers board with the amount of stoppage
time? The 4th waves the board so that the match can remain in
progress while the board in waved

These days the 4th official keeps a detailed stoppage log and
tells the referee how much time he thinks should be added, the
referee just rubber stamps that. That's why you'll see the 4th
official regularly making notes, means that if either team
complains about the added time they can clearly demonstrate
where it came from.
