I wish you wouldn’t reiterate it ! You have made that point ,we
all know your opinion it does not need repeating . The only
conclusion I can come to is you are doing so for a reaction ? As
repetitive posting serves no other purpose .

It is a relevant topic relevant to the thread. An earlier poster
stated the opinion that Welsh is an excellent referee who is
where she is on merit. That opinion has also been stated before
without attack. Please can we have some consistency here??

I'd respectfully suggest you might want to have a look at the
likes for charlieboys post versus the complete lack of likes,
and the replacement dislikes, for yours. That might tell you
that your view is very much in the minority.

I would have thought that was blatantly obvious. People don't
agree with your point and certainly don't agree with you
repeatedly making the same point, it is boring.

Personally i thought your post about Ms Welch on a previous
thread deserved a yellow card and as you have repeated it then
the circle red card should come out after the second yellow.

you even trying to make at this stage that has remotely anything
to do with the officiating of today's game?

If Welch or another member of a minority group fails, the
potential knock on effect to that demographic can be monumental.
This being said, I would not have put Welch on a Premier League
fixture this season.

Perhaps I can help? The original poster on this thread included
"Sadly Welsh(sic) has been pushed through this fast track system
far too quickly".
Given that opening gambit, it is not unreasonable to suggest
reasons to support or deny that assertion. One would have to be
naïve or blind not to see there is an element of
disproportionate support in their diversification programme.
Diversification is good. There is a shortage of referees at
grassroots and opening up the demographic for would-be referees
is immensely helpful. But let's not express indignation when
it's referred to ..... and let's not pretend it's not happening.
As has been wisely pointed out, if they get the implementation
of this wrong it will set back the cause they are admirably
striving for.

Every official at every level has, I'm sure, had a testing game
when we move up.
The age, gender, eye colour or whatever is totally irrelevant.
This is, I believe, a Refereeing forum?
If (y)our comments are about only performance then no issue.
As soon as mention of external issues is made then, I'm afraid,
the validity of those comments is compromised beyond redemption

MOTD2 hasn't shown anything controversial.
The red card initially surprised me but there was no attempt for
the ball whatsoever with studs planted into an ankle.
