Bournemouth v Forest - Rebecca Welch

Oh Welsh !! Very Poor… Kluivert has to go, people on Twitter up
in arms, clear 2nd yellow missed and kluivert substituted
       straight away.
Sadly Welsh has been pushed through this fast track system far
too quickly ! Has barely bedded in at Championship level !
Edited to correct spelling of refs name in title! bmb

Why is it you associate one missed 2YC as "being pushed too
       quick"?
       Very.poor analysis IMHO
Detail her general decision making, her control, her
positioning, her overall sanctions, interactions with players
       etc
For the record- I am not watching game

I am sure we will get a very impartial report a little later
       from our learned friend

It’s a mixed bag of foul detection, agreed that kluivert should
have gone, but booked omobamidele for waving an imaginary yellow
in same incident. So Rebecca is probably thinking I’m not
sending him off because you tell me too. But in any case he
should have gone. But made a good call for the Billing sending
off described as a hack down the achilles. I think her fitness
is ok and I rate her but I just think today her foul detection
and issuing misconduct let her down a bit today.

Always good when the OP rants and cannot even get the spelling
       of the referees name correct.

The red card is as good of a decision as you’ll see. Went with
her convictions when on first glance it looked like a yellow
card but she had the best view.

Or maybe she simply didn't think it was a cautionable offence? I
say that not having seen it yet for myself.

Wore yellow so missy bmb not happy before the game even started!
I love a lenient referee, often makes the game flow better
however you have to pick the right games to be ultra lenient &
AFCB v NFFC is not one of those games. There's a history between
the clubs and none of it very friendly. A more experience
referee would not have gone for a lenient approach, imo. In
terms of the leniency I felt 1st half she was very consistent,
for both teams, with what she did/didn't give. The danger with a
high level of leniency, used in the wrong game, is that it leads
to a higher level of player frustration (Kluivert being a very
good example of this) and players starting to push the
boundaries more and more - both team guilty of it. Lots of
holding, lots of minor bordering on non minor fouls going
unpunished so the level of them crept up as did the temperature
of the game. That's the time to get tough and start punishing
things, she didn't, she continued with the same level of high
leniency and failed to accurately judge the temperature of the
game. She lost the respect of the players and they responded by
behaving badly knowing they would get away with it. It didn't
make for a pretty watch. Kluivert should have gone for a 2 YC,
no doubt. 2 different fouls in the space of seconds that either
could have been his 2nd YC. He can thank Omobamidele for waving
an imaginary yellow because I feel it helped him stay on the
pitch, the lack of respect and open dissent taking the focus
away from the foul. Iraola did the right thing in taking him off
immediately. He by rights shouldn't have had the opportunity to
do so though... On the plus side, positioning and fitness
decent, played a couple of lovely advantages, pulled another
couple back for the original foul. One in particular beautiful
one for AFCB and she went back and booked the NFFC player after.
No complaints with the red - Phil Bill should know better.
Not her finest day at the office by any stretch of the
imagination but she will learn from it. I think she is an
excellent referee and is where she is on merit. Her inexperience
at this level let her down a bit today but I fully expect her to
       come back a lot stronger.

It was very cautionable! Trust me - he's a lucky boy he stayed
on the pitch long enough to be subbed!!
