As a neutral watching on the TV no problems at all with how the
game was refereed and decisions therein but with nothing but the
greatest of respect to yourself when did football become
suddenly and exclusively around the PL and VAR ?
That penalty kick, disallowed goal or RC given by VAR at PL
ground is still the same at an EFL Stadium but both can result
in different decisions.
To maintain the integrity of the competition either all ties
have a VAR facility or none at all.
VAR in League competition is fine but to only have it operating
in cup compettitions where there is a facility really isn't fair
in my opinion.

The day football sold its soul to the devil and became about
money and not the game. The game has been so much poorer in many
ways since then, imo.

I didn't see the game so I'm not in a position to comment on how
it was refereed or any of the decisions. I agree with your
sentiments on VAR - it has to be all or nothing in the cup
competitions to maintain equality and fairness. The purpose of
my original comment was simply my surprise that David Moyes
doesn't know (apparently) that the VAR facility is only
available at PL grounds.
