Good call from England to show Benrama the red card, absolute
stupidity and definite VC
Probably got support from his AR who was close by

Utter stupidity from Benrahma and deserved the red card.
Williams deserved his yellow for his part in the brawl.

Thought he got away with it at the start as no VAR but the
yellow was for the City player then out came the red for
Benrahama didn’t even need VAR, thought he got away with it

Quite rightly but Bristol City should have been a man down early
in the first half for a nasty follow through on Ings. Probably
missed by officials but there is an edge to this game.

Very frustrating as a Leicester fan to see a referee make a
different decision for a worse tackle than one that he gave a
red card for only three days ago. I hope for his sake that he
missed it rather than bad judgement.
Tackle in question

Looked like a deliberate swinging arm into Cresswell and
arguably that could have been red too.
Stephen Martin had a superb view of it… and he knew it because
of his reaction.

Martin was awful when we were in the Championship years ago,
seemed more interested in looking like a bodybuilder than
refereeing.

I cannot believe England saw it but where was he looking? Surely
at the ball. Side on view shows how nasty it was, maybe England
looked at it from the wrong angle?
This is a game where letting challenges go is risky as the
players are clearly wound up. In the old days, referees would
blow everything for five minutes or more to calm things down.
Not now.

You’re referring to that famous Forest v Newcastle game right?
🤣 I think Martin is a good ref for the level these days.
And if he wants to bodybuild then so be it as long as he can
still pass the fitness tests.

Thought England had a good game, nice to see him finding his
feet properly again. Great teamwork for the red card. However
think that there should have been another for the Bristol city
man who swung his arm at the West Ham player. Steve Martin saw
all of it, especially given his reaction, how he hasn’t
suggested a red card is beyond me, England would not of seen it
so not his fault
