Another absolutely intriguing call by VAR. How Gusto hasn't
gone, for a studs up challenge with force that stamped the ankle
on Willian, is unbelievable. Slip or not, that was an ankle
breaker and is a red every day. And certainly in line with
consistency this season it has to be given.

Definitely an orange card and worthy of an OFR at the very
least. Taylor needed to review that.
Another (as predicted) Taylor Soft Penalty of the Week. There
wasn't actually any contact, Sterling lifted his legs and threw
himself to the floor

Maybe a crisis of confidence for Michael Salisbury after his
incorrect intervention against Calvert-Lewin last week. This one
is right on the edge for me, and Gusto could have few complaints
if that had been upgraded to red.

Have to agree there, to me another case of an official not
recognising SFP right in front of them.
I guess pgmol will say its low so doesnt reach the threshold of
a red card, to which i would say its ok to break someones ankle
but not ok to break someones leg and the time out injured would
be the same if not career ending. To be clear i am not saying
the chelsea defender deliberately went out to break Willians
ankle its just the consequences.
Gusto saw red on review for a similar foul v Aston Villa at
stamford bridge in september

Whats the difference between Gusto's tackle and Curtis jones
which he was shown a red card for?
Penalty is similar to the Fernandes one on Monday, some contact
but its still a dive.

I see no point whatsoever in appointment of var for anthony
taylors matches , none of them will point out an error made by
him . Pathetic imo.

There is always "some contact" so its not "clear and obvious"
He has now given 11 penalties this season, at least 7 are very
soft
Wolves vs Newcastle
Man City vs Chelsea
Nottingham Forest vs Brighton
Liverpool vs Newcastle
Wigan vs Man United
Now Today
Reember the Europa League final as well- that had a soft pen

Mixed bag from Taylor today, some good advantages, some yellows
for nothing fouls and yet fouls like Thiago Silva committed two
mins into the second half with a similarity to Gustos not even
carded.
Penalty award probably justified, certainly not as soft as his
recent awards.
I will take the mystic meg award for my comments earlier in the
week on the appointments thread😂😂
Not Taylors best performance but by no means his worst.
Var seemed to want to keep well in the backgound ie snooze all
match.

Fulham were good for a point at least and had Chelsea on the
rack at the end. Silva should've seen 2 yellows/red and Gusto
red likewise, which no doubt would've made for a very different
result.

I wonder if the fact that Gusto was pulled back and fouled
immediately before the tackle impacted the judgement? It should
have been a free kick to Chelsea prior to the tackle.
Taylor was extremely unpopular in the ground, due in large part
to his perceived or otherwise history with Chelsea.
For me there were a lot of inconsistencies throughout, and he
seemed to give a lot Fulham’s way towards the end of the game.
He missed some very clear fouls and tried to let play flow but
then changed tack at the end.
