Good games for Brooks and Kavanagh. Suprised Michael Oliver
hasn't got a game but that probably means he will get one of the
Carabao Cup semi-final second legs or he is away at some sort of
Uefa Seminar although I don't know if there is one scheduled for
this month. No game for Gillett either which probably suggests
he's either doing one of the Fa Cup replays or is gonna get a
       Carabao Cup semi-final also.

How do referees actually get to games? Assume he will fly,
probably the same as Kav after the game on Saturday up in
Newcastle before his VAR appointment. Not good appointing for
me. Long way to, drive from Ashton to Newcastle then flight
down to London. Then assuming his car can teleport, drive back
       to Ashton.

I don’t see the travel as a massive burden. Quick flights and
use of hire cars I’m sure it’s easy.

What's the alternative? Only have Southern referees (of which
there are very few) officiate the Southern teams and work on
       VAR?

Why the emphasis on flying when for many of the journeys
involved rail would be a better alternative, even before
       considering the carbon footprint?

There will always be some travel but when there are at least 10
other officials available, making someone travel from Newcastle
in an evening kickoff to be VAR the next day, and sending
someone from Sussex all the way up to Newcastle just to hold up
the boards seems very unnecessary and cruel on the officials.
