I thought he lived in Rugby or thereabouts these days, or has he
moved back? Still quite a long way though.

Having done some research, you're right. Jacob Miles is based in
Warwickshire. I didn't realise he'd moved.

He is still miles from Home

Abandonments for Gill at Bolton (crowd medical emergency) and
Joyce at Reading (crowd trouble).
Firstly, best wishes to the fan taken ill at Bolton and secondly
I hope a solution can be found to the issues at Reading as it
feels like the beginning of the end for a former Premier League
club.
Quiz question - when was the last time (if ever) 2 EFL games
were abandoned on the same day?

Crewe Alexandra FC (First Team) v Swindon Town FC (First Team)
Football League 2
Referee: Doughty, Leigh
Assistant Referee: Jones, Matthew
Assistant Referee: Smith, Rob
Fourth Official: Hair, Neil Marsden, Paul
An excellent performance from Leigh in the 'railway derby' this
afternoon. A giant of a man with the look of Rob Jones, at times
he seemed to be strolling through the game, but he was always on
the spot when it mattered and was always in control of
proceedings. Yellow cards were spot on. Two Crewe goals
disallowed for offside in the 1st half on the flag of AR Matthew
Jones, but at the far end from me and no protests, so probably
correct. My one query came with Crewe's winning goal which was
scored right under where I was sitting and the scorer looked a
tad offside, and I was glad that AR2 Rob Smith did not raise his
flag to cut short our celebrations in the Main Stand. Talking of
Rob Smith, he must surely be one of the most diminutive of ARs
on the list, with the look of actor Toby Jones. Leigh v Rob,
think of Brett Huxtable v Rob Lewis, the contrast could not have
been greater. I'm not sure whether Leigh is still SG2 but he
certainly deserves to be based on this performance. Well done.

Acme, that report is perfect. The only yellow I question was the
Charlie Austin one on Conor Thomas. Looked very very late and
with intent, also went into the advertisement boards. He took
his time to give the yellow, so I wonder whether he was
considering red?

Not sure if my photo does any justice, but you can kind of see

Craig Hicks was excellent at Grimsby today. Fully played his
part in an excellent afternoon's entertainment. Also showed
empathy and understanding to Grimsby celebrations after the
first goal. Didn't fall for any injury play acting
