I do have some sympathy with pulis as I think it was a foul and
I do agree that Woolmer shouldn’t have been appointed to a game
as important as this. As for farke he consistently whinges about
refereeing decisions except when they go against his side!
Looked like a clear pen for me!

Whilst not a great admirer of Lee Mason, I have to say that his
appointment to next Saturday's game had been published prior to
Tuesday's match at The Hawthorns; hardly a 'demotion' just PGMOL
fulfilling their obligation to provide SG1 officials to
undertake matches in the Championship and EFL, as they do each
matchday.

Was a push as Preston player entered the box. "Joke" must have
referred to his players challenge.
More of an issue for me was how long the ref took to give
Norwich's penalty which was a very poor challenge

I've now had the opportunity to view the various incidents:
Mason - wrong to be conned by Gayle and wrong not to award
Forest a penalty when the forward was pulled back
Harrington - still not sure but let's say he was in a better
position to judge on the Bristol City penalty than I was
watching it on Quest
Woolmer - the forward Stearman who scored the winner for
Sheffield United was all arms and legs over the defender Fry
(think Crouch in his heyday), and whilst I've seen goals given
in similar situations, I agree with Pulis that Andy was wrong in
this instance to allow the goal
Eltringham - Buendia shoved Fisher in the back rather than trip
him. Looked a penalty to me if a tad soft.

match official' which will probably lead to a two match ban.
That will be no consolation to Forest who were deprived of two
points by Gayle's cheating and of course Mason's failure to spot
and deal with it, nor indeed to other clubs seeking promotion at
the end of the season who may be disadvantaged by WBA's extra
two points gained by the deception. Perhaps a points deduction
might be more appropriate.

Indeed, you are of course correct. Forgive me for getting
slightly carried away but as a Villa supporter (even if from the
days when they had a decent team), the notion of local rivals
getting away with something dodgy has always led me to
exaggerate somewhat!

It's a pity that he didn't conclude that appealing for a penalty
would be equally fruitless after the anticipated challenges
didn't materialise. He cheated and now he is, with the
connivance of West Bromwich Albion, dissembling.
