The comments on the colour of what the official is wearing is a
long standing “tongue in cheek” “having a giggle” joke.
You stated on your opening post that you were an avid reader of
this forum without commenting on it.
If so, you would have gathered that it’s only a laugh and
nothing too serious!
This forum would be a very dull place if we didn’t have the odd
piece of humour thrown in!

Agreed but if Ricky Gervais did a 90 minute routine and told the
same joke 90 times that would probably be very dull too???? Or
any other comedian if you don’t like Ricky Gervais.

Once the players realised that they were not going to be able to
con him by constantly falling over, probably about 25 minutes
in, the game became a better game and he handled it very well.
He was the same at Burnley a couple of weeks ago when we played
the Hammers.

Looks as if this was one of those games in which I was saying
about being out of the limelight and he's got another coming up
on Friday albeit in front of the cameras. What I do like about
Sam is that he rarely gives a soft penalty where as there are
lot of refs like Anthony Taylor yesterday who seem to give them
all the time. The only annoying thing about tonight as has been
demonstrated on this post is the colour of kit he was wearing.
