That was a really soft penalty I’m surprised he wasn’t asked to
go and have a look, there was minimal contact and Jota went down
as soon as he knew he lost the ball

That should really be a retrospective ban for Jota, and the
officiating team really need to also be punished. Abysmal stuff.

Thats why for me Oliver is better than Taylor.
       Oliver doesnt get those wrong.

Going to defend the call whether it’s the Sunderland fan in me
or not, he is mid stride and finishes that one and then when he
the foot that was hit and knocked off balance comes down that’s
       when he is over

Thankfully we have VAR to make sure that… oh

Extremely soft but no different to the villa penalty to other
day given by Attwell (slight contact but clear dive and no VAR
intervention) and the same as the Nunez foul vs Burnley. None
should be fouls. Thought contact had to have a consequence?
Then Taylor ignores a much more blatant foul on Gomez

Realised his first touch was rubbish and wont get the shot away
       so dived

Definitely in the “generous” category. I think most of us would
agree no penalty is the preferred outcome, but we know VAR is
only looking for the slightest bit of evidence to support the
decision rather than viewing it afresh (in which case any
sensible person would say no penalty)
Extremely strong showing from Nunn and Beswick - top class.

I want to agree but in the time between contact and him ‘falling
over’, I’d nipped in the kitchen, boiled the kettle, made a
cuppa and got my pyjamas on.

Taylor had grown a full head of hair by the time Jota went down.
