D BOND - Sheff Wed v Hull

Oh dear, I’m not sure what Bond has seen to warrant a red card
for Tyler Morton.
He clearly says twice “I’m thinking”.
Is it excessive force?
He won the ball clearly but definitely not excessive.
A poster mentioned a while back that SG1 referees are not
judging SFP offences accurately, and with VAR in the background
they were “unsure” what decision to give.
It’s the flip side of that in the EFL in my opinion, and they
are still not judging them correctly, as Hull will feel very
aggrieved tonight.
Of course in the EFL, there’s no back up from big brother.

Nothing wrong with him taking time to think?
Sky have shown the angle that Darren would’ve seen, and I’ve
paused it at the point of contact - I recommend you trying this
yourself. You can understand why he’s gone red from that angle.
That said, I don’t think it’s the right decision, but it’s
definitely understandable. Hopefully my photo upload has worked.

It’s very harsh after seeing replays but from the refs angle it
looks excessive force and reckless

The worst decision of the season to date. That’s shocking.

Did you see my previous post in this thread showing the still
from the angle Bond would have seen this from?

Don't think its that bad of a decision, off the floor with both
feet with connection above the ball although not studs up.
Probably YC best decision but understandable to go RC first
viewing from bad angle

Disagree with IrishRef that it's a poor decision. Like other
contributors I think it was yellow - but that's after seeing it
several times from different angles. He had one look in real
time from his angle and you can see why he went red.

IrishRef1985 - I’m new to posting on this site, I think it’s
the insightful and balanced views that have drawn me in. I
haven’t seen the tackle but I’m going with you. You’ve convinced
me.

Clear red card for me. 2 feet of the floor and totally out of
control. Maybe not much contact but we need to get these tackles
out of the game

Yeah all I’ve seen is the still picture above but look at the
ball and then look up to see the players legs. In anticipation
of actually seeing it it’s hard to imagine how it’s not going to
be red, I mean the ball is on the floor and his feet aren’t!!
