A very drab first half at Northampton in dreadful conditions.
Was hard for Carley to get into the game as it was so
stop-start. Not sure anyone knew what the scrum penalties were
for and frustration grew. Sale scored just before half time to
save us from 0-0. Northampton were much better in the 2nd half
and as they started to dominate, decisions started going their
way. The offside line was not well officiated throughout.
Correct decision for penalty try and YC for offside preventing a
       try at quickly taken penalty.
It wasn't a match where the referee could shine but I felt
       Carley was functional at best.
Franklin's Gardens is a lovely place to watch rugby, impresses
with that part of my day.
