was not allowed ref any team going for Europe because he’s a

It’s creating a big talking point that isn’t there. The kind of
thing Rob Wooton brings up with Dermot on Monday mornings, the
papers. Just unnecessary.

I think jmb might be a spurs fan who isnt very happy because his
team lost tonight and would rather blame the referees rather his
own teams shortcomings.
Reading the comment i might also detect a tad of questioning the
referees integrity.
Sometimes its best to calm down prior to posting.

Lol you couldn’t be further from the truth hahaha. I have
openly admitted to Arsenal fans having issues with Gillett and
sympathising.
My point is a very valid one, everyone knows it’s creating a
problem that shouldn’t be. Gillett and co are under enough
pressure and examination as it is, let alone being appointed to
these kinds of fixtures…

officiated overall by Gillett and Cann especially.

appointed to their game considering his Liverpool connections.
Tonight Spurs fans may say the same. Next time he may make
wrong calls and then there really will be scrutiny. Same as
Oliver with Newcastle, why he gets to officiate rivals is beyond

I would add west ham, brighton newcastle and everton.
You cant further a career by not refereeing the top teams.
The table changes every week so how do you decide which teams
gillett can referee? Before long you will have referees standing
idle because they cant officiate certain teams and no officials
for the top teams because they are all barred.
Perhaps a better idea is Gillett should referee all spurs games
for the rest of the season.

So how would you propose they manage to get every game refereed?
It would mean that Jared Gillett and Michael Oliver can't
referee any game involving a top 10 team that might have a
chance of getting into Europe. Craig Pawson and Stuart Attwell
couldn't referee any bottom half team that might potentially get
dragged into a relegation battle.
Are you really suggesting that the best referee in the country
shouldb't be allowed to referee any games involving the top 6?
Think you are looking for an issue that just doesn't exist here.
