Sheffield United vs. Luton, Samuel Allison

Not the best first half from the football perspective, and it
would be fair to say imo that Allison while far from being bad,
has been a bit jittery on his PL debut (visible most in terms of
foul detection/selection). Both of the two cautions given were
nailed on though, and the latter YC (to Hamer) was a very good
decision. In general, not too much to report though, and little
for 'non-refereeing people' to get excited about either way.

Brilliant call not to give a penalty before the SU goal, it
looked like a pen bit it turns out the defender got a nick on
the ball. His advantages throughout have been superb and while
looking a bit shaky, he's getting his work done in a hugely
commendable manner.

I'd like to see him get another chance, it's fair to say the
nerves got to him a bit. He's dipped off towards the end with a
couple of strange calls. However, for a debut, not bad.
Seems like a remark was made towards Luton's Morris from the
crowd. This sort of stuff needs to be clamped down on.

A decent performance for his debut.no big decision wrong.I
wonder when we’ll see him and welch now that there was no
trouble for them in their games.I think we will see welch a
couple more times and Allison once or twice maybe

Watching from the crowd today, I thought Allison put in a very
good shift. I can’t say I noticed the jitters mentioned above,
but if there were, can you really blame him for his first PL
match? I’d be more shocked if he didn’t have any.
One thing I noticed was that he wasn’t blowing his whistle too
quickly. He seemed be to waiting a second rather than reacting
too fast. Seemed to want to stay in the background. His
mannerisms seemed fairly calm and relaxed. Good traits.
Would very much welcome him getting more appointments this
season.

Not seen any of the game, but unless referees have a total
disaster in game 1, game 2 needs to follow soon after to allow
them to build their confidence at a new level. If he doesn't
get 3-4 games between now and May, this has been a waste of his
time.
