I like Linington as a Ref and notice that he has picked up a few
good matches in recent weeks. Also has Derby v Millwall next
Tuesday. One I would like to see given a chance in the PL and i
know bmb agrees

Linington is a referee who sits between the (very) small group
of good SG2 referees and the swathe of absolute dross.

Apologies to Nemesis, I didn’t mean to dislike your post, my
finger hit the wrong symbol and now I can’t remove the rating!!
Absolutely spot on, the dross in SG2 is well established and the
only ray of sunshine is Madley and Jones. Bankes is hit and miss
and as for Simpson...

I have clicked on the wrong symbol a time or two (fingers too
chubby when on my tablet I think) but clicking on it again seems
to remove it OK.
I agree with the comments about Madley and Jones, both of whom I
think are ready for SG1, although that would leave SG2 even
weaker. Bankes I thought was disappointing in the East Anglian
derby and I very much agree with what you didn't say about
Simpson!

Thanks Reflector. I’ve rated your comment and the option to undo
the rating has appeared. However this option isn’t available for
the excellent Nemesis post.

You can immediately undo the rating as long as you don't refresh
or click to leave the thread. As soon as you refresh or go to
view elsewhere then the option disappears. There doesn't seem to
be anything in the settings anywhere to change this. So if you
click a rating and immediately realise you have clicked the
wrong one then you can change it.

You could just say that it is not a good idea to have Woolmer
refereeing.
Unsurprisingly the FA have got involved today issuing charges to
Lambert (misconduct), plus Ipswich and Norwich for failing to
ensure that their players conducted themselves in a orderly
fashion. No charges for anyone on the Norwich bench.
