M OLIVER - Liverpool v Man U

Superb from Oliver to send Dalot packing for dissent. When will
players learn that this behaviour is not acceptable and the only
way to stamp it out is for the action Oliver took today by
binning him.

1) Shaw should have been sent off, sorry.
2) Dalot rightly sent off for two extremely blatant dissenting
gestures (the second one obviously came after the YC and gave
Oliver no choice really), while Neville and Carragher just
laughing along, what chance have we got...

It was Dalot’s throw though. He still shouldn’t have done it but
you can see why he was mad.

Worst decision of the game as the Endo yellow. Endo kicked the
ball at max waist height and is booked for a high boot?

It was a Man Utd throw on and extremely silly of Dalot, however
there will be frustration from a Man Utd perspective in that
Darwin Nunez sarcastically applauded the officials immediately
after being booked for dissent in the first half and nothing was
done. Utd will I'm sure (quite correctly) say that the laws in
these instances were applied very inconsistently today.

If this behaviour is dealt with consistently then I would agree.
But today it wasn't and Man Utd will feel quite rightly if that
is the standard Oliver was setting for the game today then
Liverpool should have had a player sent off after half an hour.
And this inconsistently is was irks fans, players, managers and
undermines the officials credibility when they make a stand.

1) Agree, but in EPL they will never give RC for these 'attack'
type fouls unless contact is very high it seems. Can follow
their logic even if I don't agree.
2) Agree again, laughing of commentators is not encouraging.
Also felt though that Nunez was lucky not go after clapping at
the assistant having just received a YC early on. I know a
Danish referee who may not have left him on the field!!
The throw in call being wrong is unfortunate in terms of the
bigger perception of the whole situation and while obviously the
bedrock must be good decision making, we can't allow a higher
tolerance for dissent when a referee might be wrong, even if we
can understand it more.

If he sends him for 2 x dissent then are we going to see this
in every game.
Or is this just Michael Oliver trying to make it about him.
Not the greatest of games unfortunately from him today
