Hope Lockyer is ok, surrly he will have to retire if its cardiac
related as that would be twice within 6 months.
Considering Lockyer went down off the ball, surely the ARs
and/or 4th official would have seen it, Hooper appeared very
slow to get over to check if he was ok compared to the ref in
the playoff final (Oliver?) or Taylor when Erikson collapsed

In defence of Hooper he was following play and had his back
turned. Huge respect to Phil Bill who was very quick to notice
and starting calling for the medics straight away. Huge credit
to both medical teams who raced on and got on with what they do
best - they were absolutely amazing. Hooper got the players away
and to the sidelines quickly so the medics could do their thing
and then sent them down the tunnel so they weren't standing
watching the medics do their thing. It was needed, they were
very distressed. Thank you to our wonderful club Dr for getting
the word out as quickly as he could that Tom was responding and
       alert.
It has been confirmed as a heart attack. I think we probably
witnessed his last game today. Huge sigh of relief around the
ground as it was confirmed he was alert and responding well. One
of the most horrible things I have witnessed on a pitch but I
can't praise the medics enough. The silence in the ground was so
eerie - everyone knew the second he went down it was very
serious. 2 sets of fans with a close affinity before today,
deepened that bond due to something none of us ever want to see.
Respect to both teams & managers who walked around the ground
together and applauded all 4 sides of the ground after the game
had been called off. They got a full ground standing ovation.
Hope it helped them feel that love & support.
Most important thing is that Tom Lockyear makes a full and
       speedy recovery.

The best news of all is that Tom Lockyer is conscious and
getting the best medical attention. Sadly it will be the end of
his career as it has happened twice but it puts everything into
perspective that football is just a game and not the be all and
end all that some people would have you believe.
The wonderful camaraderie amongst the football brotherhood shown
at Bournemouth this afternoon is a shining example to us all.
Put simply, a football ground is probably the best place for an
incident such as this to happen, as the medical facilities are
second to none and help is prompt and effective.
Wishing Tom Lockyer and Luton FC the very best at this difficult
       time.

Being a life long Luton supporter (over 60+ years through thick
and thin including the non league years) this is last sort of
thing you want to hear - I have long since left Luton and
although I havn't actually seen them personally for many years
they are always the first result looked for - i used to attend
every home match at Kenilworth Road in my teens and it gave me
much pleasure - for some bizarre reason I always remember one
       referee B A B Buckle a tall ganging individual with a large
moustache but I have never seen or heard any reference to him
However,as others have said, thanks to everyone involved in the
swift action to aid Lockyer and lets pray for positive result

Well said Gayle. It is a horrible thing to witness at first
hand. Having been at Fir Park the day Phil O’Donnell tragically
passed away the thing that hit me was the absolute silence once
the crowd saw something serious had happened. It’s an awful
experience for everyone especially those closest to Tom. I pray
that he makes a speedy and full recovery
