He misread the ball, should have been a red on field but
thankfully Michael Salisbury with an excellent intervention on
VAR. Jiminez tried to pull out but not successful, clear red.

I think it was the wrong call, Jiminez misjudged the bounce and
tried to pull out and it was his backside that collided with
Longstaff. I think a YC would've sufficed.
Coming straight after Barrott and Salisbury had missed/ignored a
clear flailing arm on Jiminez, not even a FK makes it worse.
Barrott also bought a customary Callum Wilson 'rolling around'
straight after a clear foul on a Fulham player not given, again
at the very least poor foul detection/consistency.
It can't be easy reffing at St James Park with such a vociferous
home crowd who will scream for everything but this is a test
Barrott needs to pass and I'm hoping for much better consistency
in the 2nd half

Nope, equally inconsistent second half. Longstaff body checks
Robinson when he was going forward in full flight yet no card,
but Decordova-Reid sees yellow for a similar yet probably lesser
infringement.
Wilson continued to 'buy' cheap free kicks whereas Palhihna
carded where it looked like he won or at least made a genuine
attempt for the ball.
What I really want to see though did Salisbury draw the wrong
lines (again?) for Newcastle's 2nd as Wilson's shoulder seemed
to be goalside of Diop's boot. The lines seemed to be drawn for
Wilson's boot.
Very disappointing for me, not the worst performance but no
consistency whatsoever

Another manager having a go at the referee. Open season for
referees? I am very uncomfortable with the situation, letting
Arteta off the hook etc. Free expression, emotional outburst
comes with responsibility which managers cannot accept. Referees
are being undermined at all levels.

What if he was correct and made a valid point? I watched the
whole match and the decisions did appear to favour the home team
and sanctions for similar offences only issued to Fulham
players. He's purely saying what he saw which agrees with what I
saw

I thought the sending off for Jiminez was the correct decision.
He was clearly rattled by what he perceived to be an elbow to
his face a few minutes earlier, of which he possibly had a
point, but there�s still no excuse for that challenge.
Ridiculous, and the red was the correct outcome
I�ve seen Sam Barrott on quite a few occasions now, some in
Fulham games, some on TV, and always been very impressed,
especially in the Fulham games. Today though, I genuinely feel
he struggled with the occasion. I really hope I can give a fair
assessment of referees in Fulham games, win, lose or draw
I don�t like the way Marco Silva goes after referees in his post
match interviews, and very rarely do I agree with him. Like
Arteta, Klopp, Pep, et al, he can often come across as petulant
and ignorant. Today though, I agree with his comments. In a post
above, Failed Ref said refs are being undermined at all levels
by these managers, and I agree with this. But, these refs also
have to help themselves. That was a very tough watch today as a
Fulham fan, or indeed Fulham manager, player, tea lady. Already
down to 10 men, correctly so as I stated above, it was going to
be bloody hard work. And Sam giving virtually everything to
Newcastle and ignoring exactly the same offences the opposite
way was hard to take. That crowd is so vociferous and so
intimidating, it needs a very very strong ref to stand up and be
counted. It needs the likes of Taylor, Brooks or Gillett, refs
who treat both sides fairly and just give exactly what they see.
I�m afraid today the complete opposite happened.
Fulham lost fair and square, no refereeing decisions altered the
outcome, but as an away team at St James Park you just ask to be
treated with respect and fairness. I genuinely don�t believe
that happened today.
I really rate Sam, think he will go on to be a fixture at this
level for a long time. But I really hope he learns how to deal
with an atmosphere like today. Far too much went unfairly the
way of the home side, yellows given one way but not the other.
Hopefully the assessor picked up on this.
I genuinely wish Sam all the best and hope today was a big
learning curve. If he sits down to watch a rerun of the game I
think he will also feel that perhaps he was a little too one way
Let me finish by saying there was only one man on that pitch who
really let Fulham down today though, and that was Jiminez
