Completely agree with Allison, by far the worst official seen at
Pride Park and that was a League 1 game

I was similarly uneasy about the publicity the FA awarded to the
quartet originally appointed for the Alfreton Walsall game.

Really can't help but agree with Adam above. Are there not a
number of more experienced SG2 officials who are more worthy of
a PL fixture or two? Indeed, given the number of recent
promotions to SG1 and the rise of people like Smith and Barrott,
is there really any need to blood anybody else at the moment,
particularly half way through the season? And of course I
continue to look in vain for the announcement that male
officials will receive appointments to senior women's matches -
now there's a closed shop for you.

Rebecca Welch was always going to get on the Premier league, so
the power's that be can claim they have a female referee on
their panel, saw her do one of her first games in the EFL at
Crewe and wasn't over impressed, but may be she has improved,
thou i still think it is a bit to quick to appoint her to a
Premier league game. But I hope it goes well for her.

I agree with you Derbylad. At Crewe earlier this season, he
never cut down on time wasting. I was very surprised that he was
promoted to SG2 tbh.

Wouldn't surprise me if the bedding in of these new officials is
part of some wild new strategy from Howard Webb, abolishment of
SG1/2 into one? or demoting of some officials?

I echo the well-wishes towards Welch and Allison and hope they
ease into Premier League as effortlessly as Barrott has.
Almost at the stage where Oliver needs a parking spot at the
Emirates (his 4th visit there already this season!). Also as a
little quirk, he also refereed Arsenal v West Ham in the Boxing
Day round of fixtures last year! Maybe he'll get the hattrick
next season.

Sian didn't wear hers until she had done a UEFA completion match
with Chris Kavanagh
